South Korean law firms Barun Law and Dongin Law Group are in discussions regarding a potential merger.

“Merger talks are currently underway, but no final agreement has been reached,” Dong Hoon Lee, managing partner at Barun Law, told Asia Business Law Journal.

Dongin Law Group also said that talks were taking place, but nothing concrete had been finalised.

Should the firms combine, it would create South Korea’s seventh-largest law firm in terms of annual revenue. Barun Law posted KRW107.6 billion (USD77.7 million) in revenue in 2025, while Dongin Law Group recorded KRW79.5 billion.

The Korean Bar Association website states that the merged firm would have a total of 354 attorneys licensed to practice in South Korea.
