Alun Evans rejoins Linklaters from Sidley Austin in Singapore

Linklaters has bolstered its corporate practice in Singapore with the return of Alun Evans as a partner.

Evans previously spent eight years at the firm between 2004 and 2012 and rejoins after more than a year at Sidley Austin, where he served as a partner at their Singapore office.

With more than 20 years of experience, his expertise lies in M&A and joint ventures across the Asia-Pacific region. He also advises private capital investors and corporates on various types of investments, particularly in relation to complex multi-jurisdictional transactions.

His experience covers a broad range of industries, including digital and other infrastructure, energy transition, healthcare, consumer and financial services.

“Alun’s areas of expertise are directly aligned with our strategic priority areas of high-end M&A, private capital, energy transition/ESG and infrastructure. His addition will further strengthen our market-leading position in the region and enhance our ability to support the ambitions of our M&A and private capital clients in Southeast Asia markets, India and beyond,” Jonathan Horan, national managing partner – Singapore, told Asia Business Law Journal.
