Three leading legal practitioners, Maneck N Mulla, Ameet B Naik and Neil Mandevia, have joined forces to officially launch MNM Partners in a strategic alliance, bringing together more than 75 years of collective experience and the resources of their respective law firms.

Mulla is founder and managing partner of M Mulla Associates, Naik is founder and managing partner of Naik Naik & Co and Neil Mandevia, is founder of Law Scribes. With more than 25 years of experience each, the three founders decided to create an alliance to deepen and broaden the practice areas of MNM Partners, while enabling them to continue leading their respective firms independently.

MNM Partners is structured as an equal partnership, combining the founders’ complementary strengths to deliver legal solutions to corporates, developers, investors, financial institutions, family offices and high-net-worth individuals in India and abroad. Clients will benefit from the three firm’s talent and resources via MNM Partners.

Mulla has built a full-service law firm that advises Fortune 500 companies, high-net-worth individuals and family offices. He is a member of the India Country Focus Group of the International Cotton Association, Liverpool, and a former examiner for the Bombay Incorporated Law Society’s articled clerks’ examination.

Naik, a fourth-generation lawyer, specialises in handling complex, high-stakes commercial disputes and landmark litigation. He is a commercial litigator who regularly represents clients in complex, high-stakes disputes before domestic and international courts and has earned widespread recognition for his contribution to landmark cases.

Mandevia has built a specialist real estate practice advising leading developers, investors and businesses on high-value transactions, strategic conveyancing and real estate litigation.

He has built a specialist boutique practice and deals with high-value conveyancing, development transactions and strategic real estate litigation. He advises leading real estate developers, investors and businesses, including pan-India retail companies, across the full lifecycle of complex real estate and infrastructure projects.

The alliance will operate independently of Anand and Naik, the Mumbai-based media, entertainment and intellectual property joint venture between Naik Naik & Co and Anand and Anand, which has been successfully operating since 2021.

In a joint statement, the founders said, “At the heart of MNM Partners lies a shared belief that focused individual expertise, when combined with genuine peer collaboration, produces outcomes that no single practice can deliver alone.

“This is a strategic coming together of three established practices with a forward-looking outlook and the potential to evolve into a larger, multidisciplinary institution in the years ahead.”

On the uniqueness of the venture, they said, “Each of us has spent over two decades building a practice we are proud of. This is not about starting over.

“It is about combining what we have built because we believe the mandates our clients bring to us deserve more than one perspective, one practice area, or one set of relationships. For the clients we serve, this alliance means access to decades of trusted expertise – now available as one.”

The formation of MNM Partners was advised and facilitated by Legal League Consulting through its founder and managing director, Bithika Anand, and chief executive officer, Nipun K Bhatiaa.
