Han Kun Law Offices has welcomed the return of Li Laixiang, who will be based at the Shenzhen office, further strengthening its commercial transaction capabilities in cutting?edge technology sectors. His registration as a partner is being processed.
“I worked at Han Kun from 2014 to 2021, and the firm’s transparent culture and enterprising spirit have always stayed with me. Over the past five years, through my own experience and observation, I have gained a clearer understanding of Han Kun’s strengths in professional expertise, platform resources and team collaboration,” Li told China Business Law Journal.
From April 2021 to March 2023, Li was a partner at Global Law Office. He subsequently joined Tian Yuan Law Firm as an equity partner, remaining based in Shenzhen. Before first joining Han Kun, he practised at Broad & Bright (now Anjie Broad Law Firm).
Li focuses on private equity investment, mergers and acquisitions, and capital markets matters. He advises clients in sectors including life sciences, healthcare, artificial intelligence, embodied intelligence and advanced manufacturing on equity structuring, industry?academia?research commercialisation, licence?in and licence?out transactions, employee equity incentives, compliance and foreign exchange issues.
“Upon returning to Han Kun, I hope to leverage the firm’s integrated platform and work alongside both longstanding and new colleagues to provide more in?depth and comprehensive legal services to Chinese innovative enterprises in hard technology, life sciences and AI as they grow and expand internationally, and to complete more cross?disciplinary and high?impact projects,” Li said.
