Shook Lin & Bok Singapore have advised Healthway Medical Group on its proposed acquisition of Bridgepoint Health for an undisclosed amount.

Partners Ying Ming Ho and Sally Lee led the Shook Lin & Bok Singapore team, with support from senior associate Samuel Cheong, associates Justin Chia, Cyrus Tian and Cheryl Lee, and practice trainee Chloe Lee En Jia.

Lee told Asia Business Law Journal that the firm advised Healthway Medical Group on “all applicable Singapore law relating to a healthcare clinic business including but not limited to clinic licensing and related regulatory matters under the Healthcare Services Act framework”.

She said the transaction was expected to enhance Healthway Medical Group’s operational capabilities and support its ability to serve more than a million patients annually.

“The proposed acquisition will add 16 island-wide clinics to Healthway Medical Group’s primary care footprint. It brings together a broader team of 75 healthcare professionals, which will strengthen clinical collaboration, knowledge sharing, and operational excellence across Healthway Medical Group’s primary care platform. The enlarged group is expected to serve more than 1.3 million patient visits annually across its clinics and medical centres,” Lee said.

Founded in 1990, Healthway Medical Group operates a private healthcare network in Singapore comprising more than 150 clinics and medical centres. Its wide-ranging services include primary care, dental care, health screening and day surgery.
