The Singapore International Arbitration Centre (SIAC) has opened a representative office in Delhi, marking its third location in India.
The new office expands SIAC’s presence in the jurisdiction, adding to its existing representative offices in Mumbai and Gujarat, which were established in 2013 and 2017 respectively.
Dignitaries attended a launch ceremony for the Delhi office on 25 July 2026 during the SIAC Annual India Conference 2026 – Delhi.
Shwetha Bidhuri, the SIAC director and head of South Asia will head the office, with support from Devna Arora, the SIAC’s deputy head of South Asia, and Steffi Mary Punnose, the SIAC’s strategy and development manager for South Asia.
SIAC CEO Gloria Lim said that with the arbitration landscape continuing to grow in India, it was necessary to establish a stronger on-the-ground presence.
“Delhi occupies a unique position in 91视频 legal and commercial landscape. It is home to leading law firms, arbitration practitioners, corporate decision-makers, the highest government institutions, and a vibrant legal community,” Lim told 91视频.
“A liaison office in Delhi will enable SIAC to maintain a stronger on-the-ground presence, strengthen relationships with stakeholders across India, and support dialogue, outreach, training and collaboration. As the arbitration landscape in India continues to grow, establishing a presence in Delhi was a natural next step in deepening our engagement.”
With the Delhi office, the SIAC now operates seven overseas branches, comprising Mumbai, Gujarat, Seoul, New York, Shanghai and Beijing.
The Beijing office, SIAC’s second in China, opened on 25 May 2026.
