Sidley Austin has added former Cooley special counsel Lin Jiqiang as a partner at its New York office, further strengthening the firm’s life sciences practice.
Lin, who earlier in his career practised at Latham & Watkins in New York, has advised private and public pharmaceutical, biotechnology and other life sciences companies on complex intellectual property-driven commercial transactions. His practice focuses on strategic collaborations, licensing arrangements, research and development arrangements, and the commercialisation of innovative therapies and technologies.
He also provides legal support in other corporate transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, listings and strategic investments.
His representative matters include Hengrui Pharma’s global strategic collaboration and licensing agreements with Bristol Myers Squibb; RemeGen’s exclusive licensing agreement with AbbVie; and Adverum Biotechnologies’ definitive agreement to be acquired by Eli Lilly and Company.
