Singapore’s Donaldson & Burkinshaw has appointed Lynn Soh as a corporate and commercial partner, and team lead of the M&A and employment practices.
Soh joins from BTPLaw, where she served as a director for more than two years. Before that, she was a director at Singaporean law firm Eng and Co, and vice president of legal at Fullerton Health, a healthcare platform and provider in the Asia-Pacific region.
With more than 15 years of experience, she advises on general corporate advisory, M&A, venture capital, employment law and corporate governance.
“Lynn’s hire wasn’t opportunistic – it was a deliberate move to add senior leadership to a practice we’ve been building for some time. She brings a rare combination: deep M&A experience alongside employment expertise, which very few partners in Singapore cover together. She’s also effectively bilingual in English and Mandarin, which strengthens our ability to serve our growing base of Chinese-speaking clients across the region,” Donaldson & Burkinshaw managing partner Michelle SH Ng told Asia Business Law Journal.
Ng said the firm plans to continue expanding its corporate and commercial, and employment practices going forward.
“Lynn’s appointment brings the team to nine lawyers, and we see further headroom to add both partners and associates as client demand in this space continues to build,” she said.
