Fangda Partners has launched a tax practice with the hiring of tax expert Zhao Yan as a partner in the firm’s Beijing office.
With more than 22 years of experience in tax, Zhao joined from King & Wood Mallesons, where he was a partner. Prior to law firms, Zhao worked for Deloitte, PwC and EY in managing positions providing a PRC tax consultancy.
His practice is focused on tax planning for cross-border investments and M&A, tax planning for high net worth individuals, and assisting companies in responding to tax audits or transfer pricing investigations.
