Freshfields has shored up its global M&A and capital practice with the return of Sean Donovan as a partner at its Singapore office.
Donovan rejoins the firm after more than six years at global investment company Permira, where he most recently served as managing director. Prior to that, he spent nearly nine years with Freshfields in London and Hong Kong.
“Sean’s experience brings a deep understanding of the private capital markets, a natural flair for business development and a unique in-house perspective with one of our marquee clients that is hugely valuable to our global platform,” Nicholas Lingard, Freshfields’ Singapore managing partner, told Asia Business Law Journal.
Donovan specialises in advising on a wide range of transactions, including private equity investments, strategic investments, joint ventures, M&A and other complex corporate matters. He is also experienced in handling cross-border deals and navigating multi-jurisdictional transaction environments across Asia and Europe.
