Jones Day has bolstered its restructuring capabilities in Australia with the addition of Nicholas Dunstone as a partner at its Sydney office.
Dunstone arrives from Milbank, where he served as a partner in Singapore for more than three years.
Bringing more than 25 years of experience, he specialises in complex cross-border restructuring and insolvency matters across the Asia-Pacific region and globally.
In his new role, he will advise debtors, creditors and other stakeholders on business restructurings, out-of-court workouts and other transactions involving financially distressed entities.
“As part of our strategic growth plan in Australia, Jones Day has expanded our finance and funds capabilities. Nick’s arrival builds on that growth while also deepening the insolvency and restructuring capabilities we offer clients,” Chris Lovrien, partner-in-charge of Jones Day’s Australia region, told Asia Business Law Journal.
“His pan-APAC and global experience also melds well with Jones Day’s client-first approach of delivering multidisciplinary, multi-jurisdictional services in a seamless manner.”
