Rhoshvin Singh and Zen Wong, both formerly lawyers at Shearn Delamore & Co, have launched their own firm, Rhoshvin & Wong Partnership (RWP Law), in Malaysia.
Singh spent four years at Shearn Delamore & Co, most recently serving as a senior legal associate in the construction dispute resolution unit. Wong was at the Malaysian firm for more than a year, holding the position of an associate in the same unit.
The decision to establish their own firm stems from a desire to provide comprehensive legal support across the construction, infrastructure and energy sectors, spanning front-end advisory work through to disputes.
Drawing on Singh and Wong’s prior experience, RWP Law will focus on engineering and construction, infrastructure and projects, arbitration and mediation, and dispute resolution.
Singh told Asia Business Law Journal that both he and Wong would be co-founders and equal partners at RWP Law.
“Neither of us will be a designated managing partner, we will jointly lead RWP Law,” Singh said.
Wong said the firm currently consisted of him and Singh, but confirmed plans to gradually grow the team.
With RWP Law officially opening its doors on 14 August 2026 in Kuala Lumpur, Wong said the next 12 months would be focused on developing the firm’s presence and core practice areas.
“We intend to grow the team in a measured and strategic manner as the practice develops, while maintaining the high level of quality and personal attention that we aim to provide to our clients,” he told ABLJ.
Looking longer-term, Wong said the goal was to establish the firm as a specialist practice recognised for its strengths in key areas.
“Our vision is to build a leading specialist practice recognised for its expertise in construction, infrastructure and projects, as well as its strength in dispute resolution and arbitration,” he said.
