Seladore Legal has bolstered its international arbitration practice in Singapore with the appointment of Kate Apostolova as a partner.
Apostolova joins from global law firm Clifford Chance, where she spent two years as a partner in the Perth office and led the investor-state arbitration practice in Australia.
She brings more than 15 years of experience in international arbitration and cross-border litigation, with a particular focus on investment treaty arbitration, commercial arbitration and public international law.
Apostolova has also represented sovereign states, state-owned enterprises and private entities in complex, high-value disputes across various sectors, including energy, mining, infrastructure, finance and technology.
“Kate adds strength and depth to our already impressive international arbitration practice. She has a particular focus on investment treaty cases, and her connections with Perth and its mining sector help to further broaden Seladore’s reach. Kate is returning home to Singapore where she also knows the LNG market very well,” founder and senior partner Simon Bushell told Asia Business Law Journal.
“We are very much looking forward to adding more associate resources locally as we grow the regional APAC business.”
